A Message from the Head of School

Dear Knox Families,

This fall has been nothing short of magical at Knox!

The campus is alive with energy, and transformative learning is evident in all our spaces, and our one-school culture is taking strong root. I’ve watched the rhythms of the nascent year unfold: the wistfulness of leaving summer behind, the nerves of a

new beginning, the comfort of settling into routine, and now the spark of determination as students lean into their growth with passion and purpose.

It has been a privilege to witness this journey, and I am profoundly grateful for the community that makes it possible, from our insatiable learners to their dedicated teachers, and you, their deeply committed parents.

Why Your Support Matters

Each of you has already given Knox School so much. You have entrusted us with your most precious gift—your children. You also give your time, your presence, and your support. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with your children each day, and I am personally thankful for your partnership in making Knox the vibrant, nurturing community it is today.

As you may know, all independent schools, including Knox, operate on a model where tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating each child. We work very hard to keep tuition as close to true costs as possible, but the reality is that the difference between what tuition provides and what it actually costs to run the school must be made up in other ways.

The largest expense for any school is its people. And that’s as it should be. The teachers and staff who guide, inspire, and care for your children are our greatest asset. They are the value proposition of Knox and the literal beating heart of everything we do. Your children’s growth, confidence, and love of learning flow directly from the caliber and dedication of the people here.

Looking Ahead

I am committed to expanding Knox’s offerings and strengthening its foundation. That’s why I brought back aftercare this year, ensured we filled key staffing positions, and I’m re-prioritizing professional development opportunities, strengthening curricular goals, and investing in the facilities and campus. We are also looking to join a national network of gifted schools to better connect Knox with leaders and best practices across the country. We are at a key inflection point in the life of our school, and now is the time to invest boldly in Knox’s future.

The Annual Fund

One of the most important ways to do that is through our Annual Fund. This year, we aim to achieve 100% participation from our families. It’s not about the size of the gift; it’s about everyone joining together to affirm our shared commitment to Knox. Full participation sends a powerful message of unity and confidence in our school.

Your participation—at any level—has an immediate and lasting impact on our students, our teachers, and the strength of our community.

With gratitude,
