CURRENT OPENINGS

Middle School Lead Teacher

 

Full-time | 2025–2026 School Year

 

The Knox School of Santa Barbara is seeking an experienced and passionate Middle School Lead Teacher to teach core subjects in either 5th/6th or 7th/8th grade. Ideal candidates bring a strong background in interdisciplinary, project-based learning and a deep understanding of how to support gifted learners both academically and emotionally.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • 3+ years of experience teaching grades 5–8

  • Strength in Language Arts, Unit Study, and/or Science

  • Skill in differentiated instruction and social-emotional learning

  • Familiarity with gifted education and inquiry-based learning

Full-time or part-time | 2025–2026 School Year

 

The Knox School of Santa Barbara is seeking a dynamic Science and/or STEAM Instructor to teach across multiple grade levels. This role may be full- or part-time, depending on the candidate’s strengths and availability. Ideal candidates bring subject expertise, creativity, and a passion for teaching gifted learners through hands-on, inquiry-based learning.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in science and/or STEAM

  • Experience with interdisciplinary, project-based instruction

  • Ability to challenge and support mixed-ability students

  • Collaborative, student-centered approach
